Shannon Westphal

I am a Maine based artist currently practicing on Mount Desert Island. I have always found a sense of peace in the outdoors. No matter how hectic life can get, there is something about a thunder storm, a wide open field or the vivid colors of the forrest that reminds me how small of a part I play in the grand scheme of the world. I find comfort in this awareness and my artwork is an attempt at recreating that feeling.
