Carol Shutt
Carol Shutt received a degree in Fine Arts from Syracuse University, taught art on Mt. Desert Island to K-8 children for 27 years and is now is a full-time artist, sharing a studio in Hulls Cove with her husband, potter Rocky Mann.
Shutt paints the Maine landscape, primarily in acrylic on canvas, focusing on the unique process of each painting and her own sense of color and composition.
She is also known for her mixed-media altered books and art journals filled with gouache paintings of her travel observations and experiences.
